Jesus of Nazareth,”Poking the Hornets’ Nest”, in which Jesus develops his mission statement and an action plan
Parts One and Two of Jesus of Nazare are a who dunnit. Who was responsible for his death? Who wanted him dead so badly they had him crucified? What was the motive for the murder? Were there accomplices and what was their role? Was Jesus a threat and if so to whom? How was he a threat, he was a nice guy? Healing a few people on the Sabbath was no reason to want him dead, nor was his teaching out of line with Jewish tradition. Was Jesus being himself a problem? These are question that opening this cold case require us to ask. We have to re-examine the evidence. It may be too late to catch the culprit, but not too late to exonerate those who have been wronly accused down the centuries.
